Quillah's Rescue Diary
The Story of a Liver Shunt Dog
Siesta
I still need lots of rest.
Who is this Poodle?
I am NOT a poodle, but my front legs had to be shaved for the IV's and my back legs had to be shaved for the blood draws.
Relaxed and content
I do my best sleeping in the recliner. Here is a close up.
Daddy and I sleeping in the recliner
I feel very safe and secure when I am with my rescue Dad.
Wearing E-Collar
I have to wear this Elizabethan collar after surgery so that I don't disturb my stitches
Home Sweet Home
QUILLAH
My name is Quillah and I am a nearly 6 yr old Bichon Frise. I have liver disease.

DAY 67 - JULY 17, 2008
Today the final blood test results arrived from Cornell University.
Before my liver shunt surgery I had 30% liver function. The test revealed I now have 95% liver function!
